Scarwork Therapy
ScarWork - developed by Sharon Wheeler a gentle and effective treatment used to improve the health and feel of scars from surgery or accidents. After treatment, clients often comment their scars feel softer, sensation is improved, mobility has increased and they feel less pain. The body appears to continue improving after each session and even single sessions can be helpful.
An hour long session will generally involve 30-45 minutes of
active work on and around the scar and then the use of massage
to release other tension areas. For example working on a
c section scar would be usually be followed with a back massage
due to change in tension in the area.

Scarwork Intro Session
If you are still uncertain about whether Scarwork is the right thing
for you, I offer a reduced price half hour introduction session.
This gives us chance to talk through your scar, assess what might be happening and how I might be able to help and then some work on the scar area so that you can feel what happens etc. All clients have felt a benefit even from just this short introduction.
Please note this session can only be booked once per person and further sessions will be at the full hourly rate
